It was created by Joel Surnow(who is the most frequently re-occurring director) and Robert Cochran who are both executive producers along with the shows star Kiefer Sutherland. There have been six series so far, with a seventh and eight on the way. Ricky, Steve and Karl have all referred to 24 as one of their favorite TV shows.
