Where can I buy the entire XFM archive?

Is there somewhere? On Itunes I just see "best of" compilations. Surely there's somewhere I can buy it *all*?

I'm new to Karl and just watching the HBO show right now which is great but I'm almost through it all and I want more!

Well that's... depressing.

Are they working to change this? Ricky's always going on about how Karl's his gift to the world but now we can't even buy the stuff if we want to?

BTW I noticed there's a big Pilkpedia collection on youtube. Did you guys get permission for that? That's nice at least but I really wish I could listen to all the shows :(. I only recently found out about Karl and I know I'm missing out big time.

I doubt it'll change. I don't think it's Ricky's decision, he's always happy to share YouTube links of the XFM clips. But yeah, doesn't look like they'll be (legally) downloadable again.

Except it's never been established it was illegal for them to be available to download in the first place. From what I recall, Pilkipedia got a message from XFM's lawyers and conceded to their request. Just because XFM decides they don't like people listening to recordings from the radio and wanted to start charging for various collections, doesn't make people sharing recordings they took from the radio years back illegal. Pilkipedia just decided not to fight (rightly or wrongly).

It's worth noting that this site has been shut down before in the past for sharing download links. The Podfather series, which at the time of it's release, was a free set of podcasts - They later decided to make people have to pay to download them, at which point Pilkipedia was forced with no prior warning to shut down until the 'illegal' download links were removed. So.. Yeah, they can and will shut the site down and there's not a lot the admins can do to 'fight' it, it's not really worth the risk.

It kind of does actually. XFM owns the copyright in the shows, so it's a breach of that copyright to firstly have recorded the shows and, secondly, to make those recordings available on Pilkipedia. XFM can choose to enforce legitimately whatever copyright it wants, unfortunately for us.

Seems pretty short sighted on their part to me to no longer make them available to download and then refuse to sell them.
