Best Episode of RSK: Post your favorite and why.

Postby slytown » Sat 09 Apr, 2011 10:46 pm

I found another thread on the best XFM episodes (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4393&p=66246), but I thought we should include the podcasts/audiobooks as well. So, here we go.

Rules:

1. Choose an XFM show, full audiobook episode, or full podcast episode.
2. Make at least three points/quotes as to why that episode is your favorite.

Here's mine. I was looking for the episode with the quote, "I'm using me fables" and came across 2002-04-13.

Other epic stuff...

The Mr. Freeze story and the accompanying story about crawling out the window.
The first White Van Karl question.
Re-educating Karl.
The Wheelie Bin story.
Karl explaining he doesn't check his balls for lumps.
Nick Drake on Song for the Ladies.
Karl heard about a ship with rough areas on it.
"If you're not happy looking a knob in the face there's something wrong [with ya]." Karl Pilkington on naked men in public

As I always say when this thread comes up:

2003-04-26.

1) ribbit ribbit froggy sez buy it
2) Ho Lee Fuk & Camp David
3) Rockbusters is a piece of old toss (no, it just needed "resting", leading to...)
4) Tourette's Trent D'arby
5) Karl doesn't like Robin Ince and his small thumbs
6) Alfred, the bank robbing little monkey fella

...to name but six.

21st June 2003 aka 2003 - 06 - 21

Pretty much all of the segments in this one are hilarious, and all the guys seem in a good mood:

1) Karl's Dad
2) Granny Sucking Eggs
3) Lanky Co-Writer
4) Hating on Harry Potter
5) Karl's Mum's Book
6) Thump In the Head
7) Christ De Berg (Rockbusters)
8) Monkey Business

Definitely 24 August 2002. Sort of starts off a little slow 'cos Karl's tired, but then he comes into his own...

1) Steve's upset because he missed his flight
2) Steve fancied a homeless woman and gave her £1
3) Karl tells a story about a baby with telekinesis. "It was just annoying"
4) The famous Fire, Wife, Cat story.
5) Karl talks about a werewolf boy who drinks milk from a saucer
6) They put a manhole cover on a nuclear bomb. "Blew it up, never saw the manhole cover again".
7) "Man-moths?"
8) Slugs are eating postage stamps. Karl asks for postmen to call in and confirm.
"Do you want a sandwich? Here's a sandwich". And then next year "Can I have a sandwich?" "What happened to your brother?" "He died."
