Tiny moments of XFM shows you really like.

Moments that 99% of people would either miss or think nothing of, but that you really like to hear.

Mine:

In the Hitler episode (March 2002 or so), when they start the 'White Van Karl' Steve says:

'The white van man in The Sun this week is Herbie Crossman from Middlesex'...

And in the background you hear Ricky chant 'Her-bee'.

Adorable little moment.

It's hard to think of moments like that ... I don't know if it falls into that category, but I'm thinking maybe the time Carl cut someone off the phone, then they put him on and Steve goes "Geez, I can see why you cut him off"
If I was listening to me on the radio, I wouldn't be able to say, "oh, he's a...", ya know? And slag me off an' that, 'cause I don't know what I look like, and I quite like that.

I think it's the time when Karl gives advice on how to get rid of slugs, I love how Ricky says "Let's get out of this house."

Also when Steve's talking about Britain's fattest family, I always laugh at Ricky's quiet snigger after 'XXXXXL'.

I remember one, but don't remember it 100%, but when Karl or something is talking about a man who swallowed a cockroach and Ricky's little mimmick of coughing and saying 'uhr how disgusting' cracks me up everytime.

Oh, and especially in the early 2002 shows, I really oddly like hearing then slight sip as they drink tea on air. It's a comforting, I-can-relate-to-that noise and makes me imagine them sat in a lounge, holding a cup of tea and talking absolute bollocks.

And from a fellow Melburnian as well. *shakes head*
Rick - "No, no, come on Steve, you're making this a mockery, so the budgie was depressed cos he could sense the ghost."

That one time Steve says "shall I go through the prizes?" and Ricky says "Please do" in a funny, faux-enthusiastic voice. No idea what episode it is or anything, first half of the second series though. Yeah.
Everyone is saying "Gabbo this" and "Gabbo that". But no one is saying "Worship this" and "Jericho that"!

No disrespect, but I completely hate this. It's not them sipping tea - it's Ricky schlurping latte. Schlurping into an open micropole, and then bitching about - that's right - people who make noise eating and drinking.

STEVE: Well, everyone knows you're a preposterous hypocrite.

As for the thread, there's a bit from Steve's early radio days when he plays T. Rex and says "if you want to contact Marc Bolan, you can't: he's dead."

Just the way Ricky casually says "Oooh, Steve's made you look - a bit of a twat - already" always cracks me up, despite it being just a filler comment while he shifts away from Karl and Steve's argument onto something else.

Agreed. I often call people twats in that same style.

When Ricky shouted to Karl "Come On!" just before his Rockbusters 'cryptic clue' and Karl angrily replied "SHUT UP!". He sounded very annoyed, classic!

I really like that bit where Karl's talking about the documentary with the autistic kid as if he had superpowers, Ricky and Steve say it's a bit more than just that, and then Karl just casually goes "Yeah, they did talk about how he couldn't control his emotions". It's delivered with such classic deadpan that it always cracks me up.
"Do you want a sandwich? Here's a sandwich". And then next year "Can I have a sandwich?" "What happened to your brother?" "He died."
