I do a feature on my Uni radio station called 'Weird News'. It's basically a rip-off of Karl's headlines to be honest.
"Do you want a sandwich? Here's a sandwich". And then next year "Can I have a sandwich?" "What happened to your brother?" "He died."

KP did it 10 years ago almost, stop playing catchup everyone.

Sorry about your skin problem, mate.

And in fairness, Karl wasn't the first 'funny man' on the radio.

Yeah I think he means the 'quirky fool' role, I've noticed quite a few of them on breakfast radio.

And I'll wager Karl didn't invent the quirky fool archetype either. Radio's been going on for ages, innit. Might be trend though, dunno.

Local radio show did a news story about Monkey Language. It became one of their signature bits.

I wish I could recall the show I was listening to driving from work a few weeks ago, it was advertising a breakfast show featuring a man with a northern accent saying some pretty 'wacky' things, just screamed out to me 'KP tryhard'. I'm aware he's not the first funny man on radio etc etc, I just seem to notice how strikingly similar these presenters are now that KP has received some limelight.

I doubt this trend for magic-themed kids' books has anything to do with Harry Potter, books have been around for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, innit. Aggggggggggges. Books.
