Steve: The Christmas ads have come on I notice, they're on now, and I notice, watching telly last night - do you think that the advertising executive for Cadbury's Roses chocolates just comes in once a year, and they go "What you got this year?", and he goes, "What about some workmen and some old ladies singing 'Thank you very much, thank you very very much'?, just shot in a street somewhere", "Yeah, that'll be fine, it worked last year". Every...that's been going, like, since I can remember. I've never seen another advert for Cadbury's Roses except for that.

Ricky: Exactly, well there's certain things that conjure up Christmas, like, you got your turkey and all that, you got your Roses.

Steve: Woolworth's.

Ricky and Steve laugh

Ricky: Yeah... pizza.

Steve: Ha ha, pizza, Woolworth's, drink driving...oh dear, I forgot what I went in for.

Ricky: What are we doing? We were doing something - be careful. There's a lot of money involved here, Steve, don't stitch me up.

Is Ricky referring to something here?

Does anyone remember Karl speaking about his dad and some juice boxes or something he'd bought?
That he could get so and so number of juice boxes from somewhere for the price of something?

There's the episode where he talks about how they went to some garden of gnomes or summat and his dad snuck them in the back way (past some cows that scared Suzanne) and bought juice boxes cheap from a supermarket so they didn't have to buy drinks?

The juice cartons are mentioned in Happyslapped by a Jellyfish, in the Wales section. He says when they were looking round the place that had witches they sat and had a carton of orange and his dad liked to boast he could get 6 for a quid from Farmfoods. Don't think he mentioned the juice boxes in any episodes or podcasts, but could be wrong about that.

Which show was it when:
Ricky asks Karl either: what's up with you?
or: what's been going on? (I can't remember which)
then Karl just replies 'nothing', in a hopeless voice. (I think it was because he was stressed or something, they might have been winding him up)

Then Ricky and Steve start laughing, loud.

Are you maybe thinking of the episode 12th July 2003 (season 2) when they wind Karl up to breaking point cos he wouldn't play out their pre-recorded bit about swearing and the radio authority? Towards the start, after they've been arguing for a bit, Ricky asks "Karl, what's happened to you this week mate?"and Karl replies flatly "Nowt's happened" and Ricky and Steve burst out laughing loudly like you described. This is the most similar thing I can think of. Later in the same episode Karl does do a hopeless voice and says something like "I can't be bothered", but there's no laughter at that one.

This is a vague one, but maybe someone can help. It's from one of the podcasts/audiobooks rather than the radio shows. I get the feeling it's one of the more recent ones - one of the Guides maybe.

Ricky takes issue with something Karl says, and after pointing out why it's bollocks he finishes the sentence with "you fucking idiot".

For everyone who's been wondering, it's from Series 3, Episode 5.

Karl was talking about a monkey in a jungle demanding food. Ricky says "you wouldn't say 'ooh, went to the park, there's squirrels waiting at the gate, you have to give them a toll. They only let you in if you give 'em a nut, they come up to you every time'... you fucking idiot."

which episode does karl do a diary entry about going away with suzanne's parents for their wedding anniversary? I'm pretty sure I saw it animated on the HBO thing but I don't remember hearing it on the podcasts. I think her mum says to her dad that he's a disgrace or something?
