GOD! I brought up the monkey bank robber follow up earlier in the thread, but I've just relistened to the original story, and now THAT winds me right up. He says at the end "And they never saw him again." So how did the second story come about?

A monkey, going into a bank (to withdraw his savings????) and then backing out with a gun and some stolen cash? He's great and everything, but I don't understand if Karl actually believes that it really happened. It baffles me.

That was possibly my favourite monkey news ever (that and the bike race, and the health centre run "by a couple of chimps")

I can usually handle monkey news on the whole, most of it is genuinely entertaining, and I always sort of hope he doesn't actually believe it, but its the way he's rather insistant about the monkey bank robber that worries me.

It is when he says "If he was planning on leaving a zoo, he’s gonna get his savings…", I think he's joking, but when he says something like "What have you read there Steve?", I think "Hang on...does he actually take this seriously?"

Maybe Karl's just so utterly deadpan, I'm reading too much into it. I hope so.

I know this thread is dead but I just watched a youtube vid with Ricky and Richard Dawkins - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd92qy2ZmV0 - brilliant video but one bit really annoyed me at 13:10. Ricky says he hates being labelled 'an athiest' and he doesn't live his life going "I'm an athiest, I'm an athiest"... come on Rick, anyone who's listened to enough of your podcasts knows that's pretty much your catchphrase :P

Ricky has an annoying habit where he'll pronounce the 't' in a word really oddly.

The only example I can think of off the top of my head is from The Office, when he's talking about fighting with Neil and he says twat. "I'd want to keep the little twat alive."

There are tons of examples, especially from the podcasts but also many from XFM. It's annoying because he doesn't usually pronounce those words that way, but sometimes he'll put a stupid twist on the 't', and it does make him sound like a twat.

Americans might not notice it but I'm sure it's obvious to Brits.

Also, XFM season 1, episode 22: About 12 minutes in when Karl says he didn't really enjoy the Baftas Ricky and Steve's voices go SO high-pitched and annoying lol

I don't remember which episode, but its when Ricky is mentioning Capital Radio, and when he says "Capital", he keeps going "ca, ca, ca" like he's trying to hock up a huge amount of spit. It's disgusting and annoying.

lol I listened to that today. It's one of my favourite bits of the whole thing. It's funny how we all like the shows but somebody can find something annoying that another person loves.

Karl: "I'd say it was one of the worst things...I've ever had to do"
Steve: "What?? I can't believe it!"

2 things that have annoyed me:

I'm not easily offended at all and I have no problem with anything the boys have discussed, except for the bit where Steve has apearently just heard about Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and he and Ricky start to take take the piss out of soldiers who should've known what they were getting into.
Not that I have any affiliation with anyone in the army or whatever, It's not a personal thing.
I suppose it's just their ignorance towards the subject here that really annoys me when I hear it.

Also there's a few bits on the XFM shows where they're caught off guard by a record ending, and they're still eating right into the mic, it's awful.

Also although not RiSK but the woman when Karl does his Pilkington interview, the woman about the jellyfish, she says "NASA have worked with them to try and find out how they operate in weightlessness, and they still don't know how they did that, took them into space actually and they still don't know how they did that".

Did what? Operated what in weightlessness? WHAT??
