I just got a new computer and had put all my music on it, but for some reason The Bends wasn't on it... Today I couldn't stand living without it any longer so I missed my bus just so I could transfer this CD to my ipod and I listened to Fake Plastic Trees... It was worth being late for work.

Check out the song "Let Down", purely because it's my favourite song ever.

I would completely recommend Paranoid Android. It is 6 minutes long and is just brilliant.

I am a huge huge Radiohead fan aswell! for the person who asked for a song to check out, how to disappear completely. It is really amazing! this is no joke but since the release of there new album on october 10th, my itunes tells me I have listened to each song an average of 180 times. Kinda sad actually.

Radiohead were one of those bands I dismissed without really investigating, mostly due to their reputation as shoe-gazing, tree-hugging dirge merchants. My mate was a big fan and would always drone on relentlessly about them, something which made me avoid being stuck in close proximity to him just to avoid his bleatings.

Then one night I decided to go through my sisters cds and stumbled across The Bends. Something in my head just told me to give it a go, what's the worst that could happen? I gave in and fished it out of the box, probably just to give myself some valid reasons for not liking Radiohead so that I could intelligently and eloquently tell my mate to shut the fuck up about Radiohead.

Little did I know it was a night that would change my life radically. From then on I have been an avid follower of the mighty 'Heed, devoting my life to listening to their music. They're my favourite band, have just about every slot in my top 10 tunes, probably even my top 50. They're the reason I picked up a guitar and now have a new skill which I one day hope to conquer the world with. They have provided the soundtrack to my life, with songs for every occassion, and my next of kin has been instructed that should I befall some horrible pizza-cutting related death, I wish their music to mark my passing, making distraught young ladies weep as I get flame-grilled in the local crematorium.

If you aren't familiar with Radiohead and wish to investigate further (this means you LimerickLad), the 10 songs I'd most recommend are High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Thinking About You, Blackstar, Lift, True Love Waits, Airbag, Just, Nice Dream and Go To Sleep, in no particular order.

Can't wait for June, going to see them on Glasgow Green, that'll be twice in three years with a Foos gig in between.

Whaaat. Nooo. If you listen to the Bends you're not listening to the Radiohead of now. I'd listen to their new one. It's fun and catchy and then check out Kid A/Amnesiac.

I suppose that's how it goes though. It's the kinda music you gotta hear more than once. Especially Kid A and Amnesiac. But that's why I'd listen to their new one first and then if you like that check out some more. But personally I'd skip The Bends and Pablo Honey until you become a mental fan and get them for collection purposes. (not that the bends is horrible, just cbf. and pablo honey is unlistenable imo)

IT's not that I dislike In Rainbows, but to someone who has no knowledge of Radiohead, it'd give them the impression they're just about bleeps, ballads and beat machines. I love All I Need, Videotape, Bodysnatchers, but don't think any of them match up to some of the older stuff. I prefer rock band style Radiohead to knob twiddling Radiohead. And would defo pick The Bends as my fave album, as it has the least number of tracks I'd be tempted to skip.
