Jonathan Ross on Radio 2

Postby conrad1on » Tue 05 Aug, 2008 11:31 am

I'm surprised that there wasn't already a thread for this on here. Admittedly it is a bit more mainstream than some of the other shows on here, but Rossy on form can be a great thing indeed.

In fact, I think that I actually prefer him on the radio than on TV.

Here's the full show from the last three weeks.

Jonathan Ross Saturday 19th July 2008 (unedited):

Guests: Ching-He Huang from Chinese Food Made Easy, McFly and Martin Fry.

RealAudio format (recommend Windows Media Player), 83.46 MB, 2 hrs 59 mins 02 s long.

MP3 format, 163.91 MB, 2 hrs 59 mins 02 s long.

Jonathan Ross Saturday 26th July 2008 (unedited):

Guests: Amanda Redman, Beth Rowley, Roy Walker and Lauren Laverne.

RealAudio format (recommend Windows Media Player), 83.46 MB, 2 hrs 59 mins 02 s long.

Jonathan's apparently off for five weeks, so Mark Lamarr and Jo Brand will be filling in until then.

Jonathan Ross (Mark Lamarr and Jo Brand sit in) Saturday 2nd August 2008 (unedited):

Guests: Ian McLagan, Mark Steel and star of The Harder They Come, Rolan Bell.

I agree, although I don't mind Ross on the tv, he really is a master on the radio. Haven't listened for about a year for whatever reason (mainly Adam & Joe) I have to say, but he can be hilarious, especially the first 45 mins where he has a chat and reads the stories. The guests, much like every other show of its kind, usually depend on the actual guest but he can even make the dullest guest ever listenable.

Recommended from me anyway

I haven't listened in a while, but much as I thought Ross' shows were good Saturday-morning radio, I laugh more when Jo Brand and Mark Lamarr sit in for him. (So thanks for that upload, I missed them last Sat.)

i listened for a bit but felt it was a bit generic and stuff...
id listen every now and then though, i think he's entertaining and like the way he interacts with the guests

I listen when I've run out of podcasts on the bus, but it's pretty poor I think.

That Andy fella drives me mad laughing at stories about JR's dogs, or some shite tale taken straight from Ananova about a German bloke's cock .....what sort of idiot would talk about that on a radio show?

I've updated the posts to include MP3 versions of all the shows, as people seem to be having a problem with the raw RealAudio streams.

In the future I'll probably only be posting in MP3 format, which is more flexible but bear in mind the files are twice the size.

Weird - it seems to work fine for me. Are you able to download any of the other storage vault files?
