Be grateful he decided to change the title at the last minute from the original idea.

Anyway, yeah it's good. I already knew (guitarist/Zakk Wylde replacement) Gus G from seeing him with Firewind so I was looking forward to hearing his contribution and you can definitely hear a difference.

I got Iron Maiden's new album on Monday.

It's pretty awesome. It's a bit of a grower though as it takes a couple of listens to get into, It's more like their last album (A Matter of Life and Death), in that it's quite progressive and nearly all the songs are 5+ minutes long, instead of just a balls-out rock/metal album like some of their previous albums, lovin' it though, shall definitely be seeing them on their next tour.

Got that new Maiden album the other day but still haven't listened to it yet. Shameful effort on my part.

Jethro Tull isn't metal, I don't know why they've been mentioned in the metal thread.

They're good though, I like 'em, just ... take them to the progressive/folk thread.

Yes. Yes you do.

"March or Die" is easily their weakest album, I wouldn't have even bothered with that one (only worth it for the Slash & Ozzy cameo), 1916 isn't too great either.

Personal recommendations;
(in rough order)
Overkill, Inferno, Bomber, Iron Fist, Motörizer, Kiss of Death, Sacrifice....

Or maybe start with a live album, "Better Motörhead than Dead: Live at Hammersmith" has a good mix of old and new stuff on it.
