Fair enough.

I'm not a huge fan of deathy vocals either, though I can deal with the ones in question. It's the deep, gurgly, vomitous stuff I really can't be arsed with - Cannibal Corpse etc.

So for my workout today, I had a (almost) riff-tastic playlist.

1. Falling Off the Edge of the World (Live) - Heaven & Hell
2. Rio Bravo (Remix) - CKY
3. Escape from Hellview - CKY
4. Out in the Fields - Gary Moore
5. Out of Time Man - Mick Harvey
6. No Stranger to Love - Black Sabbath
7. Crystal - New Order
8. Die Young (Live) - Heaven & Hell
9. I (live) - Heaven & Hell

EPIC.

I am kind of disgusted by how much I like the two songs I've heard from Gold Cobra so far. Walking Away is some of the best stuff I've heard from LB, and Shotgun is catchy as fuck. It's no art or anything, just decent shit.

This is from 90´s. Saddly doesn't exists anymore. One of my favourites bands: Hermética.

And this is my actual favourite: Almafuerte

In spanish sounds weird? We have many more, thanks to Lemmy!

Metallica + Lou Reed. Weird.

"Ever since we had the pleasure of performing with Lou at the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden in October of 2009, we have been kicking around the idea of making a record together. Some of you astute Bay Area residents may have picked up news of recent Lou Reed sightings in the greater San Francisco area and we have indeed been working at our home studio at HQ on and off over the last few months. In what would be lightning speed for a Metallica related project, we recorded ten songs during this time and while at this moment we're not exactly sure when you'll hear it, we're beyond excited to share with you that the recording sessions wrapped up last week."

Yeah, heard about this already. It's something I've predicted practically since Dio died, as there's no more Heaven and Hell, Iommi and the boys have gotta do something, a reunion with Ozzy was the next natural step. A part of me is excited as it's another possible last chance to see some of those classic Sabbath songs played live by the people who wrote them (and let's be honest, the first 4 albums are the the best thing Sabbath have ever done, no question). But at the same time it all seems like just another money-making reunion thing, I really hope they was all the band's decision because they wanted to, nothing to do with Sharon fucking Osbourne's purse strings.

Apparently they're making a new album together, if that's the case then I'm very intrigued, the last H&H album was pretty awesome so they've obviously still got some tricks up their sleeve, and it might give the band a kick up the arse so they won't just be playing a greatest hits and going through the motions.

Aye was just gonna post that, just yet another case of media gossip bullshit. Oh well. I've no doubt it'll come up again, in his statement Iommi didn't specifically state it wouldn't happen, just that he never made an 'official statement' that it would...
