Right 4 days ago I listened to Funeral by Arcade Fire, loved it, downloaded the other 2 albums. I've already bought a ticket to see them in Hyde Park. I love this band so much. Can't believe I've gone so long without listening to them, but glad I've found them now, cos I was listening to the same old stuff all the time, getting stale.

Have nobody to go with though, looks like my first gig on my own.

I'm thinking of going to the Hard Rock Calling fest, but I'm not sure if I'll like the atmosphere

Anyone been before?

Yes I've been. Saw Paul McCartney there. It's a great atmosphere. It's a much older crowd and more chilled out atmosphere (probably partly down to the acts who played the day i went). It was a gentler crowd to what I'm used to. People didn't like people pushing through to get closer, which is the first time i've seen people have a problem with that. Had a great time there.

You have no idea how jealous I am. I don't think they've ever been here (probably wrong) and I just don't know when I will get to see them live. Jealousy has driven me mad.
How's the environment going? Well, can we clean it up a bit?!?

I kinda figured that was the case, but I don't think I knew about them then and...BDO. So.

My sister does a lot of work for Haiti in her job. I wanna convince her to put on some kind of benefit and have Arcade Fire play there. Then, of course, invite me so I could see them at a small, intimate gathering. Gotta make charity benefit you, right?

that's awesome man! I just saw them for the first time last week and it was a fantastic show. a couple of the Suburbs songs kinda dragged a little, but everything they played off Funeral and Neon Bible killed. I may actually like Neon Bible the best from start to finish.

came here to boast about just grabbing tickets to see Elbow in a small club in DC, super stoked for that.

upcoming for me,

Phish
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings
Cut Copy
Moonface
Bon Iver
The Decemberists
Kurt Vile / Woods
My Morning Jacket
The National / Yo La Tengo
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Elbow
Foster The People
I'll be, uhh, I'll be 30 next month...this month, no, next month..where are we?

Bands I definately will see:
Iron Maiden
Mastodon
PJ Harvey
TV on the radio
Atmosphere
Portishead

Bands I'm not sure of (feel free to convince me):
M.I.A
Kings of Leon
Bad Religion
Autopsy
The Strokes
Bright Eyes
DeadMau5
Kurt Vile
Black Milk
EYEHATEGOD
Weekend
Soilwork

And just found out that I have an exam in the middle of the festival. Gonna be interesting.
