Not crazy about the new 'harder' sound, even though I accept they had to do something different. Favourite tracks are the dreamier ones like Strange and Anne With An E.

Anne with an E is one of my favorites as well :D

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
Best overall FF album I think I've heard, most consitent anyway.
8/10

Right Away, Great Captain! - The Bitter End
A nicer sounding version of Manchester Orchestra, Andy playing nice here, which is gooooood.
7/10

Katy B - On a Mission
I liked her two singles, but this was bollocks.
3/10

Mick Harvey - Two of Diamonds
Love it, Cave enthusiasts will know this man, a legend in his own right. Great stuff.
8.5/10

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong
Not what I was expecting, in parts I was hearing a sort of Siamese Dream era Pumpkins, which is awesome.
7.5/10

Glasvegas - EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\
Loved it, a worthy successor to the wonderful first album, though nowhere near as good.
8/10

Low - C'mon
Low albums always take a while to sink in, some lovely songs on here.
7/10

CunninLynguists - Oneirology
Not a big hippity hop fan as I used to be, but there are certain groups/people that I'll always keep an eye out for, these guys being one of them. One of the better hip hop albums recently.
7.5/10

Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math (2011)
What a wonderful album. Some epic songs (Simple Math, Virgin) contrast to the sweeter sounding (Leaky Breaks, Pale Black Eye) to just downright badass (Mighty). Love it.

Beastie Boys - HOTSAUCECOMMITTEEPARTTWO

Loving it, just got it today, the disc was hidden away quite well, I've never seen such a complex album cover before, great artistic wee pictures on it as well, solid album, Make some noise is an insane track.

9/10
Nobody wants to admit that they ate 9 cans of ravioli, but i did, and im ashamed of myself. I mean, the first doesn't count, then you get to the second and the third, and i think i burned the fourth and fifth with a blow torch, and then i just kept eating

The Lonely Island -Turtlenecks & Chains

I really liked the first album these guys did, it was really fun, quirky and well put together. Unfortunately the follow up is pretty dreadful. Aside from songs like "Motherlover" which have already been out for two years, the tracks are all essentially the same, with the three guys shouting unintelligibly over a synth pop beat. The lyrics arent funny, and nothing stands out at all, except "Jack Sparrow", which is the best song on the album.

In a nutshell: Shite.

So, I thought that "I Need a Dollar" song was quite good..liked the guy's voice. So I gave his album a listen..got about half way through and decided it was shite.

1/10

The 1 obviously being for the one song I already liked.

I tried listening to Bad Meets Evil the other day. It is safe to say I am no longer a hip hop fan. Eminem and his angry voice annoyed the living shit out of me, and while I was/am a great fan of Royce's work and Eminem's earlier albums, I could not help but be bored by this. And then Bruno Mars was heard, so I switched it off.
