The Ricky Gervais Show: Season 3

Postby Paute » Sat 03 Mar, 2012 2:05 am

Starts Friday 20th April. HBO

We make television for a British audience and it's still amazing to me that most countries in the world have my fat face beamed into homes once a week. Ricky Gervais - Ricky´s Tumblr

The motion blur on the video is really getting on my nerves. Aha, can't wait for the series though. Thanks Paute

Do we know what material they're using for this new season? Anywhere near resorting to old XFM shows yet? (and did they ever commercially release the entire catalogue of shows? Or just a crappy best of?)

If YouTube comments are reliable (I assume most have been verified by an independent source), this series continues using the podcasts, whereas the next one will have new audio which hasn't been released yet.

Did Ricky say something along those lines on Twitter?
If I was listening to me on the radio, I wouldn't be able to say, "oh, he's a...", ya know? And slag me off an' that, 'cause I don't know what I look like, and I quite like that.

According to Ricky's Blog, The Ricky Gervais Show, which currently airs in the US on HBO, has been renewed for not only one, but for two more seasons, bringing us to a total of four full seasons of Ricky, Steve and Karl's inane drivel. What's more, Ricky has indicated that the majority, if not all, of the content comprising the show's fourth season will consist of never-before heard material from unreleased podcasts and interviews!

Oh right. I thought they had burned through most of the podcasts by the end of last season, but then I don't remember it all that well.

Looks fine, but I'm not bothered by old material.

I haven't listened to them for a few months, so it'll be nice having okay Ricky etc. I also like the animation.

Yes, I'm sure Ricky confirmed they were recording a large amount of new material specifically for the show, which would then be released on iTunes afterwards. I'm just worried that they'll record the audio with the animation in mind, and cater their conversations towards things that would be interesting to animate...

I don't think the XFM shows will ever be used for the animated shows. Too much music discussion and "hahaha play a record!" makes no sense out of context.

...

I'd imagine if they used them they'd cut out the travel reports and song outros. Not that they will.

Problem is sometimes the discussions continue between songs, so it'd be hard to make the conversation appear continuous.

Dunno if I've just forgot them, but I don't think I've heard some of these before

I know it's just for the trailers but the music ruins it a bit.
