Shortlist presents Karl & Ricky playing Mr & Mrs

Postby TallBaby » Mon 02 Jul, 2012 10:51 am

I didn't find any topic discussing about this, so I decided to made one. Here's the info:

Shortlist has released an exclusive video featuring Ricky and Karl recreating the classic game show ‘Mr & Mrs’. The Twenty-minute video shows Ricky trying to guess Karl’s answers to basic questions such as “What is your favourite book?”

Most die-hard Pilki fans will know the answers immediately, but this is a great excuse to revisit some classic K-man moments such as his interpretation of Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful tonight”.

Check out the video here and see how many you can get.

and here's the video:

Gotta say, this was brilliant!

While it doesn't have its own thread, it has been discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=11428&p=473185#p473185

and is also on the front page of the site.

That being said, I'm sure there are many who've not yet seen it, so no harm giving it its own thread!

Video is excellent of course.

Edit: Just noticed you've probably got this from the front page of the site... as you were.

It is great. Karl's answer to the final question, and Ricky's subsequent reaction, were amazing.

Very good! I still hope the vidcasts involve Steve, but this does suggest they might still be good without him.

...though he gets the short shrift even here. Wasn't it Steve who got Karl that FHM Freak Book? Deserved a shout-out.

In two years, Ricky's version of the sausages-in-the-toaster story will be:

"Right. One time...Karl put sausages in the toaster, and then he couldn't get them out, and his girlfriend came home to find him holding the toaster - plugged in - upside-down, shaking it to get the sausages out, with his tongue stuck in."

And Robin Ince will have no sympathy.

I just love the fact that on the "pet hate" question, even Ricky is too astonished at Karl's answer to even laugh at it. Don't think I've laughed as much as that for a very long time.

I must admit, even though I think this was frigging brilliant, I missed Steve. It should be the three of them.

"I've known him for 10 years and that surprised me."

That was a brilliant reaction

Glad this thread was made, never would've seen it in the twitter thread.

That was hilarious, especially the ending. Looking forward to hopefully more like this to come.

Karl's own bad memory made me lose a point.
