WIKI WEEK

As it says on the front page, Pilkipedia is the only online encyclopaedia based around Karl Pilkington, Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais.

It is the only resource available for people to find information on the Xfm shows and the other obscure information we all love so much.

To keep it that way we're looking for volunteers to help out on the wiki.

Thanks to the hugely successful Great Pilkipedia Rewind, there has been a fantastic effort in updating the episode pages, so much so that we have transcripts for virtually every show of season 1, as well as many others, but to help complete the job we're looking for people who would be willing to help out.

Completing the transcripts makes it easier for people to find a particular show or joke or reference and also makes for clearer understanding of the often garbled language of Steve, Karl and especially Ricky.

Editing the wiki is very straight forward, and all of the Pilkipedia editors are on hand to help you through any problems, all contributions are appreciated, even just a short time spent helping out makes a big difference.

If you enjoy Pilkipedia as much as us and would like to contribute you can:

1. Send a private message to me or Steveisking to find out what needs doing.

2. Take a look at job list on the community portal

4. Just go onto pilkipedia.co.uk, choose a page and start tinkering!

I've gotten my marching orders from SiK. I expect to be done with two of the four remaining links in the 16 February 2002 show by next weekend. Happy to pitch in if you need more help afterwards.

I'm gonna start working on the RSK quote pages on the wiki.. the KP page only has podcast quotes and RS pages are very skimpy indeedy.. also I'm going to keep adding to the famous anecdotes/monkeys category i started a while back... I'll keep you up to date...

i'm doing the extras xmas page at the mo as you should know, but i fully intend to be more active when i've done that. it was suggested i do the office christmas page aswell.

i've been transcribing the same 15 minute bit for the last 6 months...i'm doing about a word a week...........one day it'll be ready, then i'll move onto something else.....i used to do more than i do now....maybe i could get back to doing stuff....i should have plenty of time to do stuff on it, but i just find myself spending two and a half hours making a sandwhich....and then it's bedtime

I had my transcribing job done a while ago (well as much as I knew how to do) and then my computer went mental and spat it somewhere, I'm on the hunt (come to think of it, it might be on a different computer altogether). Anyway, as soon as I get it again I'll need some help following the instructions on the transcribing page...I'm a bit stupid you see.

That is Lord Pilkener, HE COMMANDS YOU TO WORK ON THE WIKI.

Thanks to everyone that's replied, in here or otherwise, the Xfm shows are the bulk of what needs doing on the wiki, but obviously there's a finite amount of work to do on those (unless in the highly unlikely event, the boys go back to Xfm...) and once that and a few other jobs have been completed, the wiki should be in great shape and won't take a whole lot of time to manage.

and remember the old* saying "wiki work iz awezome."

*not old at all.
