Series 2 is the birth of the global phenomonon of Karl Pilkington.

    Rockbusters
    Songs of Phrase
    Chimpanzee That!
    Monkey News
Chimpanzee That! Monkey News * Chimpanzee that and monkey news originally were seperate features
    Rickydiculous
    Do we need em
Pilkington (which had the Parkinson theme tune
    Cheeky freak of the week
    Cheap as Chimps
    World Record Attempts

Without this, Would we know and love Karl today.
Steve

I'm going to e-mail Richard and tell him I agree.

How were they seperate? It always seemed to me that Chimpanzee That just morphed into monkey news/was renamed Monkey News.
How was the "concept" for Chimpanzee That different?

I think Chimpanzee That! was the original name for Monkey News. No difference in concept, as far as I can remember.

I've always loved the first episode of series 2. The annoying poltergeist, manmoth, "count how many times i blink" and finally the cat that did not look happy are all amazing Karl moments.

Can someone send me the ______ xfm file please? I don't have it for some reason.
There's a gap in my library, like XFM.

Does anyone know the episode with Claire Sturgess? In one of the episodes, I think in 2003, Im sure Ricky tells her off twice for interupting him. He does come across as a bit of an arse.

8 March 2003 I think. Its the one where Karl is "ill" because he put on wet trousers.

I'm sure that was a joke, he says it very jokingly.

In my opinion it is one of the better shows in the series, although it is quite different. I guess it is the suspense for Karl to appear. Then he does all bunged up an' that, with his manc voice. He then has one of his best ribs at Steven for looking like an alien in MIB2.

Series 2 is the best series by far because its the series where many of the famous stories first appear and is when monkey news and rock busters came to fruition.I can listen to this series the most because I love how Karl progresses from seemingly enjoying the show at the end of series 1 and start of series 2 and by episode 34 you can see the strain showing when they have a meeting about Ricky squeezing Karls head only between one and three. The anger Karl has towards the end of the series is hillarious such as when they keep calling him lazy and they say play a record, Karl replied "don't know if I can press this button I'm a bit lazyyyy". By the end of the series when Karl says he is going to quit its hilarious how in the last episode Ricky asks Karl if he will miss the show and Karl is like "noooo can't wait for 3 O clock"hahaa.

Yeah the feature was originally 'Chimpanzee That!' but then Karl kept referring to it as Monkey News when they outlined everything at the start of the show and then Ricky started saying 'Monkey News' after saying 'Chimpanzee That!'......then it became just Monkey News.

I love how Ricky was so touched by Karl's Christmas story... yet still ridiculed him!

Ricky: I can not imagine- I can not imagine how unpleasant that must of been.
Steve: Awful. Awful.
Ricky: And you locked in your bedroom with a broken train set.
Steve: Yeah. Cryin'.
Ricky: And- and looking at Victoria Plum--
Steve Laughs Slightly
Ricky: Whatever that was.
Steve: In the bin.
Ricky: Aww, in the bin, yeah! And you hear your mum sayin', "And he got me this. Isn't this shit!"
Steve: "Got me this. Piece of rubbish!"
Ricky: He could hear 'em just throwin' it against the wall and laughing!
Steve: Yeah, and all- and all the neighbors laughing!
Ricky and Steve Laugh
Steve: Yeah.
Ricky: And you'd come down, it'd just be in pieces with loads of spit on it.
Steve: (Laughing) Yeah.
Ricky: Just loads of gob on it.
Steve: Just scratched down the eyes.
Ricky: And all the polaroids of them just, like, laughing at him--
Steve: Yeah, and pointing.
Ricky: Stamping on it.
Steve: Yeah.
Karl: All right!

I want to see that animated so badly!
