Eels - End Times (2010)Pretty darn good. Mr. E tugs away at ones emotional heartstrings. Some really nice sounding and sweet tunes, but lacking a bighting track like Fresh Blood or Prizefighter, but maybe thats the point of this downbeat effort.

Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool (2010)Educated Horses was RZ's most accomplished effort back in 2006 and since moving to the film biz, Zombie has decided to go back to basics. There are some crackers like What? and Sick-Bubblegum. Even some of the aspirations Zombie showed us on Educated Horses can be heard in the early parts of Jesus Frankenstein and Man Meets Woman, but sadly go back into Zombie comfort zone of extreme loudness. Which isn't always necessarily a bad thing.

Massive Attack - Heligoland (2010)
Very much hit and miss. I like a couple of their songs, but sometimes it just feels so dull to listen to. The song Splitting the Atom is a rare exception, with a devious sound to it, with Horace Andy providing a spooky voice over, Girl I Love You (again with Andy) is a another sparkle. Guy Garvey's vocal range isn't fully used also which is a terrible shame.
4/10
Vampire Weekend - Contra (2010)The worst thing that can be said about this album is the divine lack of progression of the band. And that's about it. Full of catchy tunes (if a tad light and one or two songs lacking any snap), it's all sweet and sincere sounding and full of good intentions.
