Bad Meets Evil - Hell: The Sequel
Yeah alright. Eminem does well, not his worst, not his best. I've heard bits of Royce Da 5'9 before and I was impressed but he was pretty generic and forgettable here. The beats were fine but samey sounding throughout, with a few noticeably different tracks. The lyrics are repetitive as hell though, even by the standards of Eminem.

Highlights: I'm on Everything and A Kiss both stand out a bit and have great hooks.

Lowlights: BRUNO FUCKING MARS CAMEO.
7/10

Jannick Schou - Against a Backdrop of Blue Hills, They Were as Beautiful as a Lullaby

Image

Genre: Drone, Ambient

I can't remember how I found out about this album but I'd sex whoever led me to it.

8/10

Ben Frost - By The Throat

Image

Genre: Abstract, Drone, Experimental

8/10

Goldmund - The Malady of Elegance

Image

Genre: Modern Classical, Ambient

7/10

Although inconsistent, this album contains some of the best music I have ever heard, including this gem:

seen Tame Impala twice live. the first show was good, the second was fantastic and I think they'll keep improving. although they're going to have a hard time topping that debut album.

Brian Eno - Drums Between The Bells

Image

I was really disappointed with this one. I'd been looking forward to it for months. I got a little worried when pitchfag shit canned it, but I was hopeful they were doing their usual over the top pretentious bullshit. Sadly not. What the fuck is with the vocals? I know it's been many years, but compare this to his Ambient series and it's hard to understand. He seemed to be more concerned with the album artwork and the book of similar artwork that came with it than the music.

3/10

Probably more like a 5 but I'm sulking at the moment so it's probably clouding my judgement.

Just been listening to Shabazz Palaces new album. I like it. Very different but different is good. Don't know what to rate it yet.
