I'll be careful here because it's sad that you were upset and I wasn't there but he did say he would do it after.
I think anyone who's listened to Karl for a while knows he's a bit in his own world and certainly not completely professional is he? In any interview it's just like he's talking to the fella in the corner shop or something. And not only that but he's said before he doesn't like crowds so it's a safe bet he'd be very nervous being judged in front of a crowd.
I do think this is a bit of an overreaction though, he might have been a bit off but it's only Karl, he wouldn't of genuinely meant to upset anyone.
No great life story, or love interest, just a dead egg.

Sounds like you just caught him at a bad time. Not condoning his actions or anything, I wasn't there, but I dunno....we all snap sometimes.
Everyone is saying "Gabbo this" and "Gabbo that". But no one is saying "Worship this" and "Jericho that"!

A couple of things.
1- I don't know why the people think they have the right to ask anyone in any situation just because the other is famous.
2- You don't know about they was talking, if I were you I wouldn't even come close. Isn't my style. I watch them, I listen them and I read them.
3- Isn't for your work. You ask him if he can sing you your stuff.
4- I worked in the media the last 4 years. If you want work in the media get used. The friendly people are only a few.

There's this. Also it sounded like he was very stressed out today. Ricky mentioned it on his blog, he's probably also done many interviews today and was tired.

Don't forgot that he's human too. We can't expect him to be good-tempered all the time. I imagine he's not really comfortable/used to being in the media spotlight.

I'm sorry though that you got upset.

Yeah, I'd echo this. He usually seems nice enough, and might have just been in a particularly bad mood at that moment. I wouldn't take it at all personally, Jas.
"Do you want a sandwich? Here's a sandwich". And then next year "Can I have a sandwich?" "What happened to your brother?" "He died."

Why would you want ANOTHER autograph? You were trying to give the last one away weren't you?
Everything's premier but the post.

So you could see he was in a bad mood and you continued to pester him anyway?
Sorry sounds like you were asking for it.
Celebrity or not Karl doesn't owe you anything, and you're presumptuous for thinking otherwise.
As a fan you should know he's moody at the best of times anyway

note to self: don't pester celebs when they're about to go onstage, or when they're busy, or ever really.

So
  • he's in a bad mood already and you see it
  • about to go on stage and deal with a Q&A (and as a fan you should know how much Karl loves that)
  • you know he's purposefully ignored you once already
Still, you decide to push him further for an assurance that he'll sign you an autograph after. I'm with Karl on this one, I think.
