What annoys you most about the boys?

Alot of the thing people get annoyed by are silly, Karl purposely picks stupid stuff and I doubt he actually believed all of it and he admits he tweaks them for a better story. They are all kinda playing roles not acting exactly but exaggerated versions of themselves, Ricky is being more obnoxious than he really is, Steve is the quieter one to give balance and Karl is the div coming out with nonsense. As some posted they hate rockbusters and monkey news my question is why are you on this forum, it's essentially the cornerstone of Karls work if you don't like that how do you like the show at all. Sticking round for holy phuk and the little gay fella?

Obviously I'm sticking around for Ho Lee Fuk, he's brilliant, what with his whacky choice of hats.

I'm more here because of Ricky and Steve. Karl doesn't annoy me anymore, I love him in XFM series 1, 3, 4, the podcasts and an idiot abroad. Just series 2 winds me up.

I guess it's my fault really, I've listened to series 2 too much. Monkey news and rockbusters wear thin after the initial laugh and you realise he believes most of it. The worst one for me now is the monkey cameraman, but I love the one where he reads the april fool monkey news and thinks it's the monkey messing him about.

It's good, but like I say, it's my own fault, I've listened to it over and over again, so much so that it's sort of ruined the flow of Karls inane banter. I've given it a break for a while in favour of the guides, so hopefully, in a few weeks time, I'll be able to listen and crack a regular smile.

Oh, and Season 1 trumps everything for me, it's just a hoot. Karl seems to actually be enjoying himself sometimes and Ricky doesn't constantly go out of his way to irritate him. It's a good listen.

I don't understand how anyone can be annoyed by Rockbusters and Monkey News?? Like Swingball said, they are the cornerstones of Karl's work.

I know these were covered ont he previous thread about annoyances, but I'm going to list them anyway, as I need to exorcise my demons. I'll just start with Ricky:

1. His dismissal of the mind and brain stuff by Karl. If he was a half decent philosopher, he would realise that this is one of the oldest and key pillars of philosophy and the nature of human consciousness.

2. His dismissal of anything paranormal.

3. His militant atheism.

4. His ridicule of the "How would I know which one I was?" This is actually such a profound philosophical statement...

It's one of those 'bizarre enough to be true' things I think. You couldn't make it up.

I was actually specifically refering to when Karl says "Do I control the brain, or does the brain control me?" This is a pretty important philosophical question which I think Kark explains well.

But yes the plumber stuff was all over the place.
