Until Channel 4 gives a press release stating they are commissioning a series, it's not a definite. There are other factors to consider apart from ratings.
Steve: "I had to say 'You're all my hos, but I can't choose between you. So I'm taking Karl.’"

I was under the illusion is was an off-air pilot, and they were always doing a series. They chose to air the pilot in the end most likely to gauge the public's reaction to Ricky playing a character that he could potentially (and thus channel 4) get flack for, especially in the light of mong-gate.

Just my opinion, mind.

It was a one-off in that there was only one episode, and it was a pilot in that it was a pilot episode for a potential full series. Therefore it was a one-off pilot, innit.

They pretty much said at the BAFTA screening that they were undecided on whether they would commission a series and they wanted to gauge reaction to the pilot before deciding.

I'd just like to come in to defend Ricky and Steve here. I saw a dwarf fall over today and it was pretty funny.

Well sure, anything's funnier when you see it first hand. Saw a kid run into a lamp-post last week, I just stood there, laughing and pointing. Saw the same thing on youtube once, only chuckled slightly.

I reckon the effect would've been lessened if the dwarf fell over fourteen times in the same situation and did multiple looks at various cameras.
"Do you want a sandwich? Here's a sandwich". And then next year "Can I have a sandwich?" "What happened to your brother?" "He died."

I heard the Christmas Special is a crossover episode and Warwick meets Brian Potter and word on the grapevine suggests they don't half disagree in comic fashion.

More details about the upcoming LTS special.

Les Dennis has revealed that he will play a key role in the forthcoming Life’s Too Short special.

He said that Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant were writing the new show around himself, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson – aka ‘Barry from EastEnders’.

Although all three made cameo appearances alongside Warwick Davis in the original series, this time the trio – who also all appeared in Extras – will be at the heart of the story.

Speaking on the Peacock And Gamble Podcast from the Edinburgh Fringe, Dennis said: ‘I’m just going to tell you guys something we can now talk about, which I’m really excited about, is that myself, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson will be working for Ricky and Stephen again next year.

‘You know Life’s Too Short, the series? They are doing a special next year and they have written it around us. We are going to film in next February.’

He said the pair had written an ‘hilarious’ script for them.

The hour-long special is expected to air in the spring of 2013 – and is likely to be the swansong for the series.

Am I reading that right then, it's still going to be under the title of "Life's Too Short" rather than being a separate spin-off thing?

So the special of the documentary following a showbiz dwarf, focusing primarily around Ricky and Steve's office, is going to be centered on Les, Cheggers and Barry? Hmm.

Probably Warwick observing their zany antics.
Everyone is saying "Gabbo this" and "Gabbo that". But no one is saying "Worship this" and "Jericho that"!

Probably they can just get a still of Warwick looking into the camera and then continuously intercut all the action with that picture.
