So why were ties invented? (And don't give me some crap about slave collars!)
A long time ago in the land of Glunk, where the Ninnies did slib, they thought tomatoes were poisonous because they ate off plates of lead. What are you talking about?

Interesting, if it's true. I haven't got it verified yet, but.

The last item on the page, I think you'll all recognize it. After all the shit they give Karl, it's nice to see Ricky and Steve believing an email from an unconfirmed source that turns out to be utter bullshit.

Yeah, we mentioned that a few years ago. It's probably also in this thread somewhere.

pretty sure someone even posted the original "disproof" story a couple years earlier than this - just can't find it...

This meaning would make stakes and risks the same.

EDIT: It was BBC3, do I dunno.

What is at stake is the punishment/reward and the risk is how likely he'll be caught.

There's a few things but as I've been listening tot his in particular..

when Karl says about how birds are louder on holiday and that they change their songs when closer to the road. Ricky says this is rubbish. It's not. It's true. And there's been research on bird song in urban areas (plus other species) for years now and birds song's do vary in different parts of the world http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lombard_effect

Wouldn't they be louder in London then, rather than when on holiday, where it's quieter?

It's true, the other day I heard one singing along to Jay Z's "Big Pimpin."

When Karl told the fact about the Thames freezing up in the 19th Century, that was actually true, yet Rick and Steve displaced it. From the 14th to the 19th C. (aka The Little Ice Age), the river would occasionaly get so thick with ice that the citizens would hold "frost fairs" on it. Quite interesting.
