Patrice was great. Such a talent. If I were to dispense a slight criticism it would be that during the conversational pieces of work he did like O&A he could be quite loud and try and squash other people in the room. Check out the Jim Jefferies stuff, that's pretty mint too - and there's actually one with Patrice, Jefferies AND CK!

Yeah I'm going through the Jim Jefferies stuff next, which might be a while because there seems to be a million Patrice appearances.

I've downloaded all the Roasts they have done (at least I think it's all the roasts) from Youtube and I'm willing to upload them if anyone is interested. They are the best pieces of O&A you can hear in my opinion. They include one of Vos' first tapes, one of Jimmy's and Anthony's first appearance on WBAB. I also have this show where they just start laying into each other for no reason like it's one of their roasts. It all starts because Opie tells an emotional story about how he was almost crippled on the weekend, so they start saying how funny it would be if Opie rolled into the studio in a wheelchair and talking like Stephen Hawking.

Not sure if this has been posted already but some might find it interesting.

Ah the spinning wheel of death show. A great listen. Funny to see that there are still people discovering OnA. Shame I don't really use this board any more otherwise I'd upload the shows again.

Didn't realise there was a thread for this. I wouldn't have kept using the Louis thread..

I'm 17 episodes into the Patrice shows. Love them. It can go from mildly offensive to crazily offensive at times... Others I'm just laughing as Patrice somehow remembers Dream by the Cranberries as a movie trailer song for white movies and tries to describe it to Opie & Anthony.

There's been so many funny bits I can't even remember them any more.. And there's over 100 more to go. Crazy.

Their dissection of the Hulk Hogan vs Bubba The Love Sponge lawsuit was top notch, the Bubba impressions had me rolling.

Last night I had a fucked up dream in which I had to carve up a pig while it was still alive in front of me. In the dream I was cutting parts off this live pig with a large knife, then looking around me and laughing at everyone who was violently throwing up at the sight.

When I woke up, I realised I'd accidentally left O&A on during the night (again) and it had been the episode in which they get people to eat boiled animal body parts until they vomit, on air.

Had Patrice ep 30 on last night. Laughed so hard in bed at one point, my girlfriend asked me what was going on. I didn't even feel like I could tell her what it was i found so funny, as it was Patrice telling the story about sucking some womans nipples so hard that milk came out.. And he said something flirty (weird enough) and she said "no I had a miscarriage daddy" in an equally flirty way. Then he did that fucking scream of a laugh. I couldn't contain the laughter.

I don't think she would understand.

Are these like daily shows? How many times has Ricky been on? I have the CK ones, should the Patrice ones be next?

The Patrice ones are even better than the Louis ones, in my opinion. So yes, they should definitely be next.

Ricky's been on like three or four times, I believe. He was on very recently and it was a good show.

They are on daily during the week, I believe young Steven listens to them every day. I tune in if I get word there's something particularly great going on, otherwise I assume OMGWTFITSSTEVE on YouTube will keep uploading the best shows over time. The amount of time he puts into uploading O&A shows is awesome.

Thanks should also go to stevey for his work there, too.

I don't know which I prefer.. What I would say though is, when Louis is on he's great and the show is good... The Patrice ones im listening to he's maybe not always hilarious himself but he's never not funny and whatever vibe he seemed to bring with him seems to make the shows fantastic. He was obviously there a hell of a lot more and happened to be there for some of the craziest shit I've heard on a radio show. American Mess... They mouse traps... The introduction of Twitchells.. The prison story..the argument with Bill Burr and so many other things I've forgotten. And I've like.. Another 100 shows left.

Only thing I've found to be "a shame" is that there haven't been many where Jimmy is there too and I know there isn't that many with Louis.

I'm entirely with wetters, it's a shame that Patrice generally means no Jimmy. I think Louie is a more consistent funny, whereas Patrice shows will sometimes lull a bit then spike to hilarious. I've also found by show 100-something now, I'm sometimes skipping the racial debates.

But yes everyone should listen to all of them.

Similarly, I think I'd be skipping most of the Stern stuff on any re-listen. Some of it is funny (clips of his daughter for example). But the at times seemingly endless rants from Opie about the lack of passion and what not.. I get why they're going on, but it can be tiresome.
