A popular and critically-acclaimed American cartoon about a dysfunctional suburban family. Originating as an interstitial short on The Tracy Ullman Show, The Simpsons became a series in 1989 and has run for over 18 award-winning seasons. It was also made into a major motion picture in 2007.

Ricky and Steve are huge fans of the show and often cite it as one of their biggest influences. They occasionally talked about the show in the Xfm days, most notably when Ricky compared Karl to the dimwitted Simpsons character Ralph Wiggum.

In 2006, Ricky wrote an episode of the show. He also provided the voice of a character that was not dissimilar to David Brent. The show's creator, Matt Groening, has since said that he would love to work with Ricky again in the future.
