Bognor Regis is most widely known for being the base of Butlin's, a holiday resort camp. Butlin's is known for being a popular holiday destination for working class families with young children.
For at least 7 years as a kid, Ricky Gervais would holiday in Bognor Regis with his mum and nan. This is the location of Ricky's go-kart lie, as told on the 24 November 2001 Xfm show.
