- During a Christmas broadcast on the BBC, Karl is nervous about Ricky and Steve (as atheists) discussing Jesus and the nature of Christmas. This reminded Steve of an incident a few years back when he was having Christmas dinner at home with his family, and he and his sister (who he describes as 'religious') began arguing about the meaning of Jesus and Christmas at which point the Merchant Matriarch insisted both her children be quiet as it was "not the time (to discuss Jesus)".
