Pilkington plc is the United Kingdom's largest glass manufacturer. The company's name has periodically been mentioned on the Pilkipedia forum by users wondering if it has ties to Karl Pilkington. At one point, a rumour began circulating (based on an edited Wikipedia entry) that Karl was the grandson of the company's founder. Karl is no relation to the company or any of its senior management.
